Mark 7:37 (NLT) They were completely amazed and said again and again, “Everything he does is wonderful. He even makes the deaf to hear and gives speech to those who cannot speak.”

As human beings, we are very prone to make mistakes and to make wrong decisions. Every single one of us can tell stories of the mistakes and blunders that we have made and tell about the consequences of having made them. We are a very imperfect people. As a matter of fact, there is no one who has ever lived or anyone who is alive right now who hasn’t tripped up here, there, and seemingly everywhere. There is no one that has ever done anything perfectly…except for Jesus.

When Jesus walked on this earth, He did a lot of amazing things. He did things that people had never seen before. What He did and kept doing were things that are impossible for us to do. Only He could do them because of who He was and continues to be. The people that saw these things were astounded and commented that everything He did was wonderful. That couldn’t have been said about anyone up to that time and has not been able to be said to anyone since that time. No one has ever done everything wonderfully. But Jesus did. The thing about this is that the people who said this were just commenting about the miracles that He performed. They thought that the way that He healed everyone who came to Him for healing, even making the deaf hear and the mute speak, was absolutely perfect. But they didn’t even know the half of it!

While the miracles that Jesus did were more than wonderful, He had not done His greatest and most wonderful work yet when the people said this about Him. What if they knew what Jesus’ mission really was? What if they had knowledge that while Jesus was healing the sick, opening the eyes of the blind to see and causing the lame to walk, that was just a side result of His mission. His mission was to save the world and the way that He was going to save it was by exchanging His life for ours. Jesus, God in the flesh, was about to sacrifice His own life, spill His own blood, take a severe beating and receive insults from His own creation while hanging on a cross because of His incredible love for us. Nothing gets more wonderful than that! And now, Jesus, our wonderful Lord and Savior, continues to do wonderful things in our lives as we surrender our lives to Him. Since He does everything wonderfully and perfectly, wouldn’t it make sense to allow Him to order your life and guide you in the right direction? Let Him do it. He will change and rearrange your life to how it should be, and it will be better than anything that you could have done with it. Give Him full access to your heart and your life and He will do everything that needs to be done in you in a wonderful and perfect way.
